CRAYFISH series

I have a bit of an obsession with Crayfish (Kōura). Growing up it was an absolute treat food, hardly ever seen, and only served at times of celebration or in the lucky event that someone had given us one. As children we only got the legs to eat, and it was amazing how much meat you could find in the legs. It is not only the taste that I adore, but as an artist there is a challenge to drawing the many facets and patterns on them and making this look real on a flat surface. And of course, I love the colour orange!
